Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 1, 2026 | Last Updated: August 31, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to RonaldReeves.com. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website and use our tools (Calculators, Converters, etc.).
2. Information We Collect
Our calculators and converters run entirely in your browser as client-side JavaScript — we do not see, process, or store the values you enter into them. Your calculator inputs stay in your browser. Some of our network and diagnostic tools (such as WHOIS Lookup, DNS Lookup, SSL Certificate Checker, and URL/redirect inspection tools) work differently: because these tools query external registries, DNS resolvers, or the site you specify, the domain, IP address, or URL you submit is necessarily sent from our server to complete the lookup. We do not store these lookup values after the result is returned to you.
a. Log Data
Like most websites, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our site. This may include:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time spent
- Device information
We also use your IP address for automated rate limiting and to detect abuse of our forms and tools.
b. Contact Form Submissions
If you use our Contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are validated (including our spam-prevention CAPTCHA checks) and sent directly to us by email through our transactional email provider. We do not store your submission in a database or file on our server — once the email has been sent, no copy is retained by the site itself. We do not use this information for marketing and do not add you to any mailing list.
c. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use a small number of cookies for essential site functionality, including a session cookie that supports our image CAPTCHA and form security (CSRF protection) on the Contact form. Where analytics or advertising are enabled, we also use cookies from Google Analytics and Google AdSense as described in Section 4. Your Dark Mode preference is stored using your browser's local storage, not a cookie, and stays on your device. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, and — where our advertising consent tool is active — through its cookie preference controls.
3. Data Security
We use standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption and file-level access controls, to protect the transmission and temporary storage of data. We are committed to maintaining a safe browsing experience for all users.
4. Third-Party Services & Advertising
We always use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from spam and abuse. Where analytics or advertising are enabled on this site, we also use Google Analytics to understand site usage and Google AdSense to support our free tools. These services may collect information such as your IP address and device data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Your use of Google reCAPTCHA on our forms is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
When Google AdSense is active, we display Google's Funding Choices Consent Management Platform (CMP) to collect and honor your privacy and cookie preferences, particularly for users in regulated jurisdictions (e.g. EEA, UK, California). When AdSense is not active, we display a simple cookie notice instead.
5. Data Retention
Log data and analytics are retained only as long as necessary for security and site-improvement purposes. Contact form submissions are not stored by us; they exist only transiently while being validated and sent by email. Network and diagnostic tool inputs (domains, IPs, or URLs you look up) are used only to perform the requested lookup and are not stored after the result is returned to you. We do not retain calculator or converter inputs, as they are never transmitted to our servers.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under the CCPA, GDPR, or similar laws, including the right to know, access, delete, correct, or opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the sense defined by the CCPA. To exercise any privacy rights, please reach out via our Contact page.
7. Children's Privacy
Our website is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
