Resistor

A resistor is a component that limits current in a circuit, with a value in ohms often shown by coloured bands.

Resistors in series add: 100 + 220 + 330 = 650 Ω. In parallel the reciprocals add, so two 100 Ω resistors give 50 Ω. Standard values follow the E12 and E24 series.
