Steganography

Steganography is the practice of hiding a message or file inside another ordinary-looking file, such as an image, so that nobody suspects it exists.

In more detail

Unlike Encryption, which scrambles content but is visibly there, steganography hides the very existence of the message. A common method changes the least significant bits of image pixels, which the eye cannot notice. Analysts look for statistical oddities, unusual file size and data appended after the end of a valid file.
