Time card

A time card records the hours an employee works each day, from which total hours and pay are calculated.

Clock-in and clock-out times minus unpaid breaks give daily hours, which are added up and multiplied by the hourly rate. Totals are usually shown both as hours and minutes (7:30) and as decimals (7.5).
