JSONPath Tester - Evaluate JSONPath Expressions (RFC 9535) Online
JSONPath Tester
Query a JSON document and see the matches and their paths as you type
Live Results
Matches and their normalized paths update as you type the expression or edit the document.
Filters, Slices and More
Supports filters like [[email protected] < 10 && @.isbn], slices, negative indexes, recursive descent and the length, count, match, search and value functions.
Helpful Errors
Syntax problems are pointed out by position, and expressions that would fail type rules are rejected as the standard requires.

A Quick JSONPath Guide
JSONPath is a query language for JSON, standardised as RFC 9535. A query starts at the root, $, and follows segments: .name or ['name'] picks a member, [0] and [-1] pick array items by position, [1:3] slices, * selects everything at that level and .. searches at any depth, so $..price finds every price anywhere. A filter such as [[email protected] < 10] keeps the items whose current node, @, passes the test.
The tool follows the standard closely, so results can differ from older JSONPath libraries: whitespace rules are strict, comparing values of different types is simply false instead of an error, and expressions that break the standard's type rules are rejected. The result list shows each match with its normalized path, which is the exact location of the value in the document.
