Three Layouts
A grid of equal cells, a single row with matching heights, or a single column with matching widths, whatever shape your photos are.
Fill or Show Everything
In a grid, pictures can fill each cell and crop their edges, or be shown whole with the background around them.
Gaps, Borders, Colour
Set the space between pictures and around the edge, pick any background colour, or export a transparent PNG.
Private and Instant
The collage is drawn in your browser and updates as you change settings. Your photos are never uploaded.
Making a Collage That Looks Good
Collages look best when the cells share a shape. The grid layout does this for you: choose a cell shape such as 4:3 or 1:1 and every picture is fitted to it, either by cropping the edges evenly (the default, which gives a clean mosaic) or by showing the whole picture with the background colour filling the gaps. The row and column layouts take a different approach: they keep every picture whole and scale them to the same height or width, so nothing is cropped but the pictures keep their own proportions.
The size you set is the size of one cell, row or column in pixels, and the whole collage grows from it, so a 3-column grid of 400-pixel cells comes out about 1,230 pixels wide (with the default gaps). Very large collages are reduced to a longest side of 6,000 pixels so your browser can save them. If you plan to print, start from a larger cell size; for social media, 1,080 to 2,048 pixels on the longest side is usually enough. A short last row in a grid is centred rather than left-aligned.
