Flesch Reading Ease

The Flesch Reading Ease score rates how easy English text is to read from its average sentence length and syllables per word; higher is easier.

The formula is 206.835 − 1.015 × (words / sentences) − 84.6 × (syllables / words). 90 to 100 is very easy, 60 to 70 plain English and 30 to 50 difficult. The related Flesch-Kincaid grade gives a US school level.
