Profit After Fees
Buy and sell commissions are built into the cost and proceeds, so the profit shown is what you really keep before tax.

See the exact sell price at which the trade covers all its costs, which is slightly above what you paid.

Reading the Result
The total cost is shares × buy price plus the buy fee; the proceeds are shares × sell price minus the sell fee. Buying 100 shares at $50 and selling at $60 with $5 fees each way costs $5,005, returns $5,995 and makes $990, a 19.78% return. To break even, the shares must sell for $50.10, because the fees have to be earned back first.
The tax field applies one flat rate to a positive gain, which is a simplification: real capital gains tax depends on how long you held the shares, your income, your country and any losses you can offset, so treat it as an estimate. Losses are shown untaxed.
Key Takeaways
- Fees counted: Both commissions reduce the result, as they do in practice.
- Gain or loss: Clear green or red result with the correct sign.
- Estimate only: Tax is a flat-rate estimate, not tax advice.
