Invoice

An invoice is a document a seller sends to a buyer listing what was supplied, the amount owed, the due date and how to pay.

A good invoice has a unique number, both parties' details, itemised lines, any tax, the total and payment terms such as "net 30" (due within 30 days). Legal requirements vary by country.
