Hidden Characters, Shown
Every invisible character is listed with its position, code point and Unicode name, and marked in a revealed copy of your text.

Look-Alike Words
Words that mix Latin letters with Cyrillic or Greek ones, such as a Cyrillic а inside paypal, are flagged.

Why Invisible Characters Cause Trouble
Text copied from web pages, chat apps, PDFs and word processors often carries characters you cannot see: zero-width spaces that break a search or a password, non-breaking spaces that make a comparison fail, or byte-order marks at the start of a file. They cause failed logins, mismatched keys, broken scripts and puzzling diffs.
They are also used deliberately, to hide watermarks in text or to disguise malicious code and links. Cleaning is careful by default: the joiners that make emoji sequences and Arabic or Indic text render correctly are kept unless you turn that option off.
Key Takeaways
- Precise: Line and column, code point and official Unicode name for every hit.
- Safe cleaning: Emoji and right-to-left or Indic scripts are not broken by the cleanup.
- Security aware: Flags bidi overrides and homoglyph spoofing, not just stray spaces.
