Why PDF Pages End Up Sideways
Scanners and phone scanning apps often save a page with the wrong orientation, for example when a landscape page is fed in sideways or a stack of double-sided sheets is scanned with every second page upside down. A PDF stores the rotation of each page separately, in steps of 90 degrees, and a viewer applies it when showing the page. That is why rotating a page in a PDF reader does not always survive: many viewers only turn the view and do not save it.
This tool writes the new rotation into the file itself. Choose the direction, pick which pages to turn, and download a corrected copy. Because only the rotation value changes, the content is not re-compressed or redrawn, and the file size stays almost the same.
