How Page Ranges Work
Separate parts with commas. Each part is a single page (5), a range (2-6) or an open range that runs to the last page (8-). Without "Combine into one PDF", every part becomes its own file, so 1-3, 5 gives two PDFs; with it, all the chosen pages are joined into one PDF in the order you typed them, which also lets you reorder or repeat pages.
Pages are copied unchanged, so text stays searchable and images keep their quality. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. With "every N pages" a 10-page file and N = 4 gives parts of 4, 4 and 2 pages.
Key Takeaways
- Open range: "8-" means page 8 to the end.
- Reorder with Combine: Combined output follows the order you type.
- Unlock first: Protected PDFs cannot be split.
