Running pace

Pace is the time taken to cover a distance unit, such as minutes per kilometre or per mile, the reciprocal of speed.

A 5 km run in 25 minutes is a pace of 5:00 per kilometre, or 12 km/h. Finish time is pace times distance, so the same pace holds over 10 km in 50 minutes.
